It's finally been released by Fewture EX Gokin we were waiting for almost 2 years: Shin Getter 1; despite not having the same strength in my "disruptive" of the early EX Gokin and being in these less, the robot is still aesthetically really nice.
Unfortunately, the quality control Fewture has struck again: the problem of the wings is unfortunately still present, so that Fewture has published on its website information on how to handle the wings do not break, and at the same time on the forums Asian begin to appear the first photo broken wings.
(Photos from various Asian forums, I'm not thinking of taking it)
And we close today with what is probably forcefully grabs the prize for worst model of the century, the poor Barattack by CM's.
The model is a loyalty that I would call excellent. As you can see from the picture the model perfectly represents his animated counterpart. Piccolino but being paunchy will not notice much.
In the box there are also many accessories that allow you to transform Barattack in various other versions (maybe they did for Jeeg!).
Because I do not like it then? Simply said: the model is not literally standing, the magnets are powerful but are in fact free to rotate without brake; I swear I have NEVER seen anything like it. It seems impossible that it has been given the green light to a model of its kind in the video ... I think it is clear to everyone what has combined CM's.
Given the problem of stability, I do not want to photograph the rest ... I put away my sadness with Balatack hoping for CM's Jeeg not the same fate in store for us ...
This Bandai Gokin 1994 may in fact be considered a precursor of subsequent lines Chogokin (non-vintage) Soul of Chogokin 1996 and 1997.
Red Baron is taken from an anime of the same year, in turn revisiting the old Tokusatsu of 1973.
The model is made of a block of zinc alloy, heavy and well finished. And 'one of the last items Made in Japan in the industry (as reported by "proudly" the writing on the backside). More than discrete joints and excellent box, complete with a transparent glass case.
There are also accessories for the transformation (unfortunately on sprue) and adhesives to bond. In my case they are all still in the box.
Finally, a good model, that does not make me want a remake. It is still well below the 100 euro, if you want a piece historically interesting of aesthetic accattivamente and well done, I highly recommend it.
And it finally came time to present the most absurd piece I've ever bought in my collecting career.
A brief historical introduction: the old line Chogokin game in 1974 had in fact three components: a component Super Robot (which is what interests us most), a component Sentai / Super Sentai (also interesting), a component of dolls more or less unrealistic (at that time there was also the Chogokin Topo Gigio ...)
In 1996, after exactly 10 years, Bandai decided to riesumere the Chogokin series that was interrupted in 1986 with the GC-39. The first 3 were chosen as representatives of the three souls that I mentioned:
GD-01: Kabuterios (a robot Sentai)
GD-02: Kankichi Ryotsu ("doll")
GD-03: God Raideen (super robot)
Just the GD-02 we go there to occupy. Anyone who knows me knows that I take around this piece for a decade ... found an auction at 25 Euros I decided it was time to finally buy it
Among other things, according Zinc Panic and other sources, this is the first Chogokin designed by Tsuyoshi Nonaka, which will be the following year to take the helm of the project Soul of Chogokin.
The series, despite being mostly unknown in Italy is among the most famous in japan: Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kōen Mae Hashutsujo, friends Kochikame. The manga is published continuously since 1976 and has surpassed 173 volumes and 135 million copies, the anime has 373 episodes.
The box is the norm for the Chogokin series, the object is Made in Japan (Not China!)
The appearance is what it is: it seems Elio dressed as a policeman. The metal content is more than good: a good 60% of the body is diecast. The fists are firing, they are provided a shield and a gun (which I removed from the sprue). Head and chest open showing ... boh!?!?
Along with its sister Yamato, Space Battleship Andromeda this marks an important innovation for Bandai: For the first time the spaceships are included in larger series Soul of Chogokin, rather than the Soul of Popynica as it was in the past.
Many have turned their noses up, but apparently the choice of Bandai has paid off, as the success of these vessels in the mother country was enormous. Instead a much lower success in Italy: only the few collectors who buy it.
I start by saying that this is really spectacular Andromeda, really massive and huge; the sculpt is really perfect, light years ahead of the previous output Daigokin.
The metal is present in an amount much higher than the previous BPX-01, but we are still far from Aoshima diecast content; eye, are metal the engine, the upper part of which rests the bridge, the "reggimissili" lower, the front of the keel, the turrets. I would say 25% metal, 75% plastic.
Last note on the legendary "cazzilli bright" new ships have fortunately eliminated the ugly of the BPX control panel, incorporating a convenient remote control that allows Andromeda to introduce numerous sound effects, various music drawn from the soul, and beautiful lighting effects + sound waves for guns and engines.
In addition to photos add, for the first time on Chogokin Mania, a video:
Ultimately, I think the best representation of Andromeda on the market; probably he who gives great importance to the metal will continue to prefer the Daigokin, but I think there really are no comparisons.
Well Bandai, but the queen of ships Aoshima probably remain undefeated. But now ... below with robots! CUMPRATE cazzilli LIGHTS!
An update a little 'different than usual for one of them (or maybe smaller?) Absent in the Soul of Chogokin series: the Junior Robot (Robot Junior in the original version), the funny robot piloted by Shiro Kabuto.
The robot was one of the first releases for the original Chogokin series, namely the sixth; is in fact released as GA-06 in 1975, shortly after the two Mazinger and Getter 3.
What I show you is not, however, the vintage (it costs too much, unfortunately), but one of the beautiful gashapon with metal parts released by Bandai between 2002 and 2003. Particularly in this metal are the blue parts of the legs.
I hope this post can serve as an omen for future SoC: we would keep really have a Junior SoC!
And finally, after 4 months from the first issue, we conclude the project Tobikage with this fantastic Bakuryu.
I would say that the series ends with a flourish; I think the Bakuryu is in fact the most aesthetically pleasing of the three, either in robotics that the transformation into a dragon.
Metal content similar to the previous outputs: the majority of the bust (below the components necessary for the processing such as the head of the dragon), cover-forearm and part of the feet. The weight is still close to 4 ounces, very satisfactory.
A short look to complement the review with a picture of all the traits Chogokin Ninja Senshi Tobikage.
For now I have moved away from the usual modern Gokin to show you some pictures of one of the toys that I most loved as a child: the legendary Gattiger, one of the masterpieces of the disappearance Takatoku.
... There's nothing to do, I'll never be a vintage collector: every time I pull out one of these pieces, I can not help but to mount and play half an hour, pace the paint will chip
And finally comes the turn of Daitarn! Soul of Chogokin One of the most controversial of all time: some great, for others a SoC hated type of processing, differences in the sculpt with the animated series (the thighs for example), but especially for the hate straps that are broken in robot mode in a rather unsightly.
And the shoulder pads I hear you say? In this case I changed thanks to two simple but ingenious products Kalle74 caps, a talented modeler Italian. The caps apply to become robots, and should not be to undermine the transformation or to permanently change the robot.
